“Girl Scouts is where I discovered my confidence, leadership, and passion for serving others. I found myself in a welcoming community of girls and troop leaders who encouraged me to try new things and step outside my comfort zone. Girl Scouts has given me endless opportunities to grow professionally and personally – I would not be the woman I am today without Girl Scouts! I hope to create a sense of belonging for future generations of Girl Scouts.”
Jasmine has a special place in her heart for Gold Award scholarships as she had the honor of receiving just such a scholarship in May of 2025. This scholarship helped her begin her journey at the University of Alabama at Birmingham to pursue her dream of becoming a physician.
She is a neuroscience major with a chemistry minor on the pre-medical track, and she is involved in Greek life, University Honors Program, and Honors Ambassadors. Jasmine was a member of Troop 30172 in Girl Scouts of North-Central Alabama where she earned her Bronze, Silver, and Gold Awards; she is now a Lifetime Member of Girl Scouts.
