Girl Scouts of North-Central Alabama offers year-round camp rentals—open to the public and to Girl Scout troops and service units. Our lodges, cabins, pavilions, and outdoor spaces are ideal for day meetings or overnights, with optional activities like canoeing, kayaking, archery, hiking, and campfires. You can also inquire about horseback riding at Camp Coleman (Trussville) and rent the portable Savannah Speedway car-racing track—where participants race cars of their own design.

Camp Coleman is situated on 110 acres along the banks of the winding Cahaba River, just 29 minutes northeast of Birmingham and less than an hour’s drive for over half of the members. Established in 1925, it’s one of the most historic Girl Scout camps in the United States! With its convenient location, Camp Coleman is the perfect spot for experiencing the outdoors, including swimming, hiking, canoeing, kayaking, or just floating down the river in an inner tube.
The cheerful barn, friendly horses, three riding arenas, and shady trails make Camp Coleman the best place for girls to enjoy riding horses. Brand-new target sports facilities host archery, riflery, slingshots, and hatchet throwing. There’s also a large open-air gymnasium with a stage and an indoor climbing wall that is the perfect place for theater, skits, and group games. A campfire circle directly on the riverbank, a historic swinging bridge, and several destination hikes round out the perfect camp experience for all program levels.

Camp Cottaquilla is located on 1600 acres of pristine, unspoiled forest between Jacksonville and Anniston, just 21 minutes northeast of Anniston and 41 minutes southeast of Gadsden. Established in 1948, it’s the largest of Girl Scouts of North-Central Alabama’s properties. With its mountainous terrain and Appalachian flora and fauna, Camp Cottaquilla is the perfect spot for outdoor experiences, including hiking, nature activities, wildlife observation, canoeing, kayaking, archery, or just enjoying the great outdoors.
The sheltered private lake makes Camp Cottaquilla the perfect place for girls to learn paddling skills. It is stocked with fish, and even the most novice of fishermen is likely to reel in a big catch! To welcome arriving guests, a brand-new, spacious picnic shelter near the parking lot offers overhead lights and ceiling fans to cool you off. Onatonda Lodge is both beautiful and historic. The architecture is reminiscent of Frank Lloyd Wright, and its expansive screened porch provides a great place for picnics, crafts, or badgework. A campfire circle at the Sherwood cabin unit lies directly on the shore of the lake, reflecting back the memories made around the campfire.

Camp Trico is situated on 110 acres on the shores of beautiful Lake Guntersville, just 40 minutes southeast of Huntsville and less than an hour northwest of Gadsden. It’s a boating paradise and truly a recreational destination. With over a mile of shoreline directly on Lake Guntersville, Camp Trico is Girl Scouts of North-Central Alabama’s premier location for water activities, including swimming, canoeing, kayaking, tubing, sailing, watersports, water skiing, and stand-up paddleboards. A large “F” shaped pier and several floating docks provide direct water access for the variety of water sports provided. A water trampoline and a floating water mat offer fun and relaxation in the water. For avid anglers, the fishing on Lake Guntersville can’t be beat anywhere else in the State.
Target sports facilities host archery, riflery, slingshots, and hatchet throwing. There’s also a large, paved tennis court near the center of camp that is the perfect place for sports and group games. A campfire circle directly on the shore of Lake Guntersville reflects back the memories made.

Kanawahala Program Center is located on 600 acres, just 33 minutes southeast of Birmingham and a little more than an hour from Tuscaloosa. Kanawahala Program Center has a 40-acre private lake surrounded by mountains and serenity. A Junior Olympic-sized swimming pool, piers, and waterfront boat storage facilities provide for a variety of boating and water activities, including swimming, canoeing, kayaking, watersports, and stand-up paddleboards. The lake is fully stocked with bass, bream, and catfish, ensuring even the most novice angler can reel in a big catch.
Target sports facilities host archery and riflery. There’s also a large dining hall and common area in the conference center that is the perfect place for skits and indoor games. A campfire circle directly on the shore of Lake Alice and a variety of hiking trails round out the perfect camp experience for all program levels.
