Girl Scouts of North-Central Alabama proudly celebrates volunteers who make extraordinary contributions to our girls, council, and community. National Award honorees are selected through review by the Adult Recognition Committee and approval by the Board of Directors, highlighting their lasting impact on the Girl Scout Movement.
Service Units play an important role in recognizing outstanding volunteers who make Girl Scouting shine at the local level. Each year, Service Units may present awards approved by a Service Unit Team member or council staff. These recognitions honor volunteers for their dedication, mentorship, leadership, and service to girls and their communities.
The Juliette Low Community Partnership Award recognizes a corporation, civic organization, or spiritual community that has collaborated with the council to advance the council’s mission and goals and resulted in positive community awareness of the Girl Scout Movement. The service unit that initiates and collaborates in the partnership may also receive the recognition.
