Across North-Central Alabama, Girl Scouts are gaining the experience, confidence, and vision they need to lead in their communities and beyond. Whether they dream of launching startups, leading climate solutions, or serving their neighborhoods, Girl Scouts gives them the skills and support to get there.
Not every girl has equal access to these opportunities.
According to the Alabama Girl Report, one in five girls lives in a household experiencing poverty—that’s more than 120,000 girls in Alabama. And with the recent decision by Girl Scouts of the USA to increase annual dues from $25 to $45, the cost of membership has become an insurmountable burden for many families. Without financial assistance, membership in Girl Scouts may be out of reach for too many girls.

How Your Gift Makes an Impact
Here’s how your support helps girls in your community:
- $500 covers adult training and start-up costs for a new troop
- $225 provides membership for five girls in a community outreach program
- $175 supplies a girl with a Girl Experience Pass
- $125 funds membership, uniform, and basic costs for one girl
- $65 covers uniform scholarship assistance for one girl
- $45 provides a membership scholarship for one girl
