America Gives is a national effort to build a year-round culture of service as we approach America’s 250th birthday. The largest year of service starts now—and Girl Scouts of North-Central Alabama has committed to contributing 10,000 volunteer hours by July 4, 2026.
That goal may sound like a lot, but here’s the good news: your troop may already have service hours to contribute.
Think about service projects your troop has completed since January 1, 2026. To calculate your total:
The result is the total number of volunteer hours your troop contributed—and those hours add up quickly!
Please record your troop’s volunteer hours using the Formstack form below.
Girl Scouts of North-Central Alabama will submit all reported hours to the national America Gives website.
If your troop would like to participate in additional service projects, explore the America 250 Alabama events map. Click your county to view upcoming service opportunities. (Dark blue counties currently have events available.)

Every act of service counts. Together, we can reach our goal of 10,000 volunteer hours and help celebrate America’s 250th birthday through meaningful community impact.
