Create your own cast iron tile! You will be provided a sand mold of a 4"x4" tile, and our team of metal artists will help you create your design in the sand. Then you get to watch as the professional metal artists pour the melted iron into your mold. After they cool, you get to take your project home on the same day! You will also go on a tour and learn the history and the significance of Sloss Furnaces. Make sure you wear long pants and closed toe shoes. Arrive by 9:45 a.m. as the pour class will begin promptly at 10. Registration will close at 11:59 p.m., October 20, 2026. *Parents and siblings (4th grade and up) may participate with their Girl Scout for the same price. Cost for all participants: $40 each Cost for parent chaperone that is NOT participating in making a tile: $5 Fun patch will be provided to girls only.
If you are an ADULT who is registering only to CHAPERONE and not participate and make a tile, please register as a FAMILY GUEST to get the $5 price.
