Calling all creative Girl Scouts! Get ready for a morning of hands-on making, problem-solving, and entrepreneurship at She Makes: Creator & Maker Expo.
From 9:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m., girls will explore creative maker projects using a variety of tools and materials while learning about the design process. Through hands-on activities, participants will build STEM, teamwork, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills while creating something uniquely their own.
At 12:00 p.m., the fun continues in the dining hall with the Girl Scout Makers Market! Girls who choose to participate may sell handmade items they created themselves. Sellers may set up their market space before the event begins at 9:00 a.m.
Girls participating in the Makers Market will be responsible for selling their own items, collecting payments, and making change. Sellers may also choose to accept electronic payments such as PayPal or Venmo; however, please keep in mind that cell service at camp can be limited, so cash is strongly encouraged.
Girls who would like to shop the Makers Market are encouraged to bring small bills and quarters.
What to Bring: Comfortable clothes for hands-on activities, a reusable water bottle, and plenty of creativity! Girls and families are also welcome to bring a picnic lunch and stay to eat at camp after the event.
Calling All Makers & Volunteers!
Do you create, build, design, craft, invent, or have a skill you would love to share? We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers and makers to help bring She Makes to life! Join us by leading a hands-on activity, sharing a demonstration, or introducing girls to something you love to make or do.
