Ready to take the driver's seat in your future? This event is designed to help older Girl Scouts build the confidence and knowledge they need to become informed and prepared vehicle owners.
In this hands-on workshop, girls will learn the essentials of car ownership, from understanding how a vehicle works to keeping it safe, reliable, and running smoothly. Participants will explore basic car maintenance skills, learn how to handle common vehicle situations, and gain practical knowledge they can use when they begin driving and owning a vehicle.
Girls will learn how to:
- Identify basic vehicle components and understand how they work.
- Perform essential maintenance checks, including checking fluids, tire pressure, and warning signs.
- Understand routine service needs and how to communicate with automotive professionals.
- Learn about budgeting for car expenses, including maintenance, insurance, fuel, and unexpected repairs.
- Build confidence navigating the responsibilities of car ownership.
Whether girls are preparing for their first car, getting ready to drive, or simply want to better understand the vehicles they rely on every day, this workshop provides valuable life skills that will last well beyond the driver's seat.
Join GSNCA for a practical, empowering experience that helps girls move toward independence-one mile at a time!
