Looking for additional leadership opportunities? Check out the Girl Media Squad and Girl Advisory Committee. You can lend your voice to the Girl Media Squad, where you will have a chance to learn about public speaking and raise awareness about Girl Scouts and upcoming events through local media interviews. Or serve on GSNCA’s Girl Advisory Committee where Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors serve as the council’s voice for the older girl members through girl-led activities.
Are you an outgoing person who would like to share why Girl Scouting is important to you? Submit your application to be part of the Girl Media Squad.
Members serve a one-year term and represent GSNCA by serving as emcees for council events, doing interviews for local news sources, filming videos for Trailblazer TV, taking over our social media accounts, and more!
Do you prefer to work behind the scenes, providing direction to council program, travel opportunities, and marketing? The Girl Advisory Committee directly shapes council sponsored events and activities by helping plan program and program delivery - including travel and the Girl Leadership Summit.
Applications are accepted between September 1st and 30th. Due to the nature of the work and event deadlines, late applications cannot be considered. Members serve one-year October 1 – September 30 and can reapply for continued membership at the end of their one-year term.
