Girl Scouts of North-Central Alabama offers the premier leadership development experience for girls, helping them to discover their own sense of self, connect with others, and take action to make the world a better place. As a girl sits around the campfire, shoots an arrow, paddles a canoe, floats down the river in a tube, sails a boat or rides a horse for the first time, something in her changes—she is growing and gaining self-confidence by learning new skills, overcoming challenges, and making new friends. She comes home with a spark in her. We call it the camp glow.
We know that sending your daughter to camp is a big decision and it’s one you don’t take lightly. Girls as young as Brownies (2-3 grade) can participate in sleep-away camps. It’s a great way for girls to explore their independence in a safe and supervised environment. GSNCA camps are open to any girl, regardless of previous Girl Scout involvement. Whether it’s your first time at camp or your fifth, there’s something new for you to discover in fun girl-led activities. The Girl Scout experience truly comes to life! At summer camp, everyone enjoys traditional activities like swimming, archery, canoeing, hikes, nature, outdoor skills, crafts, songs, games, and campfire.
GSNCA takes great care in cultivating an environment where girls can relax into a world of friendship, adventure, laughter, skill-building, and fun in the great outdoors. GSNCA summer camps are places where girls build friendships, skills and confidence while creating life-long memories. Come join us at camp this summer!
