GSNCA provides Girl Scout programs within the framework of other
school activities to girls who live in at-risk environments. Their activities
take place during and after school and on weekends, and are selected
based on the school curriculum and needs of the girls. Without Girl
Scouts, many of these girls are limited by poverty, low-income housing,
and lack of educational opportunities. In our programs, girls have the opportunity to
experience things they might otherwise not have the chance to do.
