Girl Scouts learning yogaGSNCA promotes healthy living through a variety of programs that focus on wellness, health issues, and physical activities. These programs emphasize values and positive strength-building exercises.


Practicing these values and habits can help prevent adolescent pitfalls such as eating disorders, substance abuse, cutting, promiscuity, and suicide. Each Girl Scout program is age-appropriate and set in an environment where girls are challenged and mentored with the help of experienced adult volunteers. Girl Scouts can choose to participate in more than 50 different achievement program activities dealing with healthy living. Girl Scouts is truly a place where “Girls Grow Strong” both mentally and physically.
